Patrick Andrews, CFP®
Patrick is native to the area, spending much of his formative years in Columbus. He is a 2008 graduate of Columbus North High School and made the trip over to Bloomington, Indiana to complete his Bachelor of Science in Arts Management through the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Following his education, Patrick and his wife Sharon moved back to Columbus to work for Cummins, Inc. There he worked in multiple marketing and sales roles across different business segments, most recently focusing on the mining and mineral extraction industry. During his time at Cummins, he also became Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified.
In each of his roles, he focused on the opportunity to help people. While he enjoyed his work at Cummins, he found some of the work became difficult to meet that service-oriented goal. He has been managing his family investments for several years and when he was approached with the opportunity to pivot to financial planning and investment advice, he found a career that would allow him to have a direct impact on client’s lives.
Patrick is a CERTIFIED FINACIAL PLANNER ™ Professional and graduate of New York University’s School of Professional Studies Financial Planning Certificate program. He is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He specializes in working with clients through complex planning topics and managing clients wholistic investment portfolio.
Outside of work, Patrick has focused much of his time on advancing the already vibrant community in Columbus. He is currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, the Indiana University Alumni Association South Central Indiana Region Board, is Vice Chair for Columbus City Utilities Board and has previously served in a leadership capacity with Mill Race Theatre Companies’ Board of Directors and Bartholomew Counties’ Convention, Recreation, and Visitors Promotion Commission. He is also an active member with Columbus’ Rotary Club.
Patrick, Sharon, and their son Hudson live in town and enjoy working on and consuming arts in the community. Additionally, Patrick enjoys a round of golf on a Saturday afternoon, albeit poorly played, is an avid board game player, and enjoys staying active with the family’s rambunctious boxer/lab mix, Kevin.
